What’s Diabetes?

Diabetes is a condition in which there are high blood sugar levels.  It’s due to either the pancreas not producing enough insulin or the cells of the body not responding properly to the inquirer.

What are the symptoms of Diabetes or what kind of symptoms will I have if I am having Diabetes?

The common Symptoms of Diabetes are:

  • Itching
  • Burring
  • Cramping
  • Frequent thirst
  • Frequent urination even in the might
  • Dryness of mouth
  • Fatigue
  • In aniseed appetite in the night or early morning

What are the complications that Diabetes can cause to a person?

Diabetes can lead to – Kidney failure.  (Diabetic Nephropathy). – damage in the eyes (Diabetes Retinopathy), – Nerve disease (Diabetic Neuropathy) serious problems in the feet, – cardiovascular disease stroke (parents to be given one after the other).

What are the types of Diabetes?

Diabetes is classified into three types which are:

  • Type I Diabetes:   It is a condition where the pancreas fails to produce Insulin (or) of Beta cell.
  • Type 2 Diabetes:  It results when the body is unable to produce the enough amount of insulin it needs to convert food into energy (or) when its unable to use insulin’s appropriately.

Gestational Diabetes: It is a condition that occurs when pregnant women with cut a previous history of Diabetes develop high blood sugar levels.

Which is the most common type of Diabetes?

Type 2 Diabetes is most common.
It is a condition which arise when the body is movable to produce the amount of insulin it needs to convert food into energy (or) when it is unable to use insulin (Properly).
Appropnately: There are times when the body is actually producing more insulin than what is required by a person to maintain normal glucose levels.  Yet blood  glucose remains high, because the body’s cells are resistant to insulin.

What’s insulin? Why is insulin needed for a person?

Insulin is a hormone produced in the pancreas.  It is essential for glucose to enter the cell.
The body cells.
But for insulin the glucose mixed in blood will not be able to enter into body cells.

How to prevent Diabetes?

If you fall in any one of the target group as mentioned in point 3., keep checking your ‘Fasting’ and ‘PP’ (Past pereandial) blood sugar levels once you are 30 years of age atleast annually.  If the readings are abnormal, meet your doctor and fellow whatever is needed.  Acupuncture in the only form of medicine which can prevent Diabetes.  An experienced Acupuncture is capable of diagnosing as pre-diabetic patient.

You should then have a control on your eating habits, go for a regular check-up and follow the needed medication and exercise regularly.

“Fasting” blood glucose level – 70 to 110 mg/dl
PP blood glucose level             – 70 to 140 mg/dl

How often should I check my blood glucose levels?

Once in a month if you are diabetic and once in six months if you are above the age of 30 and non diabetic.

Will my son or daughter inherit Diabetes from me?

No, it is not necessary that a child inherit Diabetes from the parent.  But, copying the faulty food habits of the parent life style could the child to develop Diabetes.

Should I avoid sugar completely if I am Diabetic?

Yes, avoid refined sugar completely.  You may use good quality palm candy sugar and god quality jiggery.  Wither a diabetic or not avoid refined sugar, use.

Are foods labeled sugar-free safe for consumption?

Why can’s Allopath cure Diabetes?

How does Acupuncture cure Type 2 Diabetes, which is common type and what’s the mechanism?

The allopathic medicine pancreas stimulates the beta cells in to produce insulin which is already not able to produced enough insulin.  Allom supers the secretion of glucagon in liver.  There is no provision to rejuvenate the pancreas.  Allopathy only treats the symptoms and does’n go into the root cause… and not the disease.
